Rationale  People often deny or overlook their inner shadow and think that pursuing positivity is how we should live. But the truth is that both positive and negative make us who we are. Due to the highly competitive environment, young adults who are between 18-30 years old tend to judge themselves and make self-comparison with others which leads to the spiral of negative mindset. The bad impact of a negative mindset will lead to decreased motivation as well as greater feelings of helplessness. This physical light installation aims to help people accept their negative mindset and realize the beauty of both positive and negative elements inside us and how we complete ourselves to survive in this challenging environment. Do Good Project Week 17 : Beta Test

Beta Test (Test 5) I held a beta test with 5 users to see the overall user experience and gather their responses. The purpose is to gather users' feedback on the user experience in terms of visual, audio, and flow of the light installation.  Here is the survey form.  User's Feedback Insights 100% of the users understand the message brought by Melda is to express our own thoughts and embrace both negativity and positivity within our true selves. 100% of the users feel the light effects are impressive, comforting, and immersive. 50% of the users mention that there is some delay in the light changing.  50% of the users mention that the audio effect of Melda is too robotic. The echo feel of the audio makes it not clear when speaking which leads to confusion. Initially, the timer is set to 60 seconds for the first narration. Do Good Project Week 16 : Sound Editing & Technical Prototyping

Sound Editing  After settling down the copywriting, I start to do VO for Melda. I've added Reverb, Parametric Equilizer, and Delay to create some sort of spiritual voice for Melda. Final Copywriting This is the finalized copywriting for Melda after discussing it with the users and lecturer.  Onsite Setup I went to the IIS room in the school and try to set up everything by myself. The purpose is to letting myself understand the mood and feel of the environment setting and things to take into consideration when setting up the project. Different Light Effects for Alpha Test (Test 4) .I'm very confused to attempt which light effect for the users because different people have different opinions on it. Thus, I did a poll for the user to vote the effect that they are more comfortable with through social media platforms such as Instagram. The objective is to understand their judgment on the light effect from a layman's perspective. Do Good Project Week 14 : Scripting & Environment Setting

Scripting I've experimented with 2 types of narration. I make it sound friendly so that users can feel it's more like a friend to them. I have met my lecturer personally for further enhancement this week and here is the feedback.  Feedback From the feedback, I have to do some critical thinking again as the copywriting is still lacking connections with gaps. I have to tighten the content writing that establishes a better relevant connection between Melda and the user. Suggestion based on the concept and project purpose: Melda is just a medium to help to reshape & restructure human patterns of seeing the positive & negative thoughts.
